How can we help?
Quick answers to the questions travelers ask most. Can’t find yours? Support is one tap away.
Account & profile
Open your profile and tap the avatar. You can pick a photo from your library, take a new one, or choose one of the built-in avatars. Photos are checked on your device to make sure a face is visible — nothing is analyzed on our servers.
SoloTrips is an 18+ community, and your date of birth is how we verify that at signup. Your exact birthday is never shown to other travelers.
Trips
Flights, buses, trains and ships. Add the carrier, service number, date and route — that’s what SoloTrips uses to find travelers heading the same way.
Only within your privacy settings, and only while you’re discoverable. Each trip also has its own privacy setting if you want to keep one just for yourself.
Past trips move to your archive automatically. They’re only visible to you, and you can delete them any time.
Discovery & matching
When you turn on discoverability, travelers on the same or neighboring trips can see your profile card for a limited window (24 hours by default, up to 72). When the window ends, you disappear from discovery until you start it again.
By design. Everyone on a route is identified by their passenger number, so nobody has to put their name in front of strangers just to travel. You can still open a passenger number to view that traveler’s profile — their bio, interests, home city and verified status — which is how you decide whether to send a connection request. Contact details are never shown, and if you’d rather not be browsed at all, turn off Public Profile in Settings → Privacy and others will only see your avatar.
Yes — set travel companion preferences like gender, age range, travel class or purpose, and discovery respects them both ways.
Chat & notifications
Chat on SoloTrips always starts with a request you accept or decline — nobody can message you out of the blue. You control who’s allowed to send requests in your privacy settings.
Settings → Notifications gives you a separate toggle for each type — chat messages, chat requests, trip activity and more. Turn off what you don’t want; the rest keep working.
Blocking is bidirectional and immediate: you disappear from each other’s discovery, chats close, and neither of you can contact the other. The other person isn’t notified.
Subscriptions & billing
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account — SoloTrips never sees your card details. Manage or cancel any time in your store’s subscription settings.
Sign in with the same account and use “Restore purchases” in Settings. Your subscription follows your store account.
Talk to a real person
The fastest way is Settings → Send feedback in the app — it arrives with the context we need. Or email us any time.
