1. Who can use SoloTrips
You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself, to keep only one account, and to keep your credentials to yourself. Your account is yours — it can’t be sold, shared or transferred.
2. What SoloTrips is (and isn’t)
SoloTrips is a platform for planning trips and connecting with other solo travelers on the same or similar routes. We are not a travel agency, carrier or tour operator, and we do not organize, supervise or accompany trips.
We do not vet, interview or run background checks on travelers. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users — in the app and, especially, in person.
3. Staying safe
Use good judgment when connecting with people you meet through SoloTrips: meet in public places, tell someone you trust about your plans, and keep early conversations in the app. Use the block and report tools whenever something feels wrong — that’s what they’re for.
4. Community rules
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, deceive or discriminate against other travelers.
- Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your identity, or post trips you don’t intend to take.
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or infringes someone else’s rights.
- Share another traveler’s personal information without their consent.
- Use SoloTrips for commercial solicitation, spam, or scraping of any kind.
- Interfere with the service’s security or attempt to access it by any means other than the app and website.
5. Your content
You own what you post. By posting it you give SoloTrips a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and share it as needed to operate the service — for example, showing your posts to travelers you’ve connected with. We may remove content that violates these terms.
6. Subscriptions
Some features are part of a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings; refunds follow the store’s policies. Prices may change, but never mid-term without notice.
7. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other travelers at risk — with notice where appropriate, immediately where safety requires it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Security.
8. Intellectual property
The SoloTrips name, logo, app and website — including all software, design and content we created — belong to SoloTrips and are protected by law. These terms don’t grant you any rights to them beyond using the service.
9. Disclaimers
SoloTrips is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable and accurate, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and travel details shown in the app (schedules, carriers, routes) are informational — always confirm with your carrier. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoloTrips is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any user — online or offline. Where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnity
If your breach of these terms causes a third party to bring a claim against SoloTrips, you agree to indemnify us for the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.
12. Changes, governing law & contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves; for material changes we’ll notify you in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use SoloTrips means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Questions: legal@solotripsapp.com.
